Terry-Jo Myers is an 18-year veteran of the LPGA Tour with three career titles to her credit. In 1994, Terry-Jo revealed that she had been playing for the past 11 years with interstitial cystitis (IC), a chronic and debilitating disease of the bladder. After being successfully diagnosed and treated, Terry-Jo won two LPGA events and received the 1997 Heather Farr Player Award, which recognizes a player who demonstrates determination, dedication and spirit in the game of golf. Terry-Jo was also the recipient of the 1997 Ben Hogan Award, given annually to someone who has continued to be active in golf despite a physical handicap or serious illness. Terry-Jo's tireless effort to raise awareness about IC has also earned her the LPGA 2001 Humanitarian Award and the 2002 LPGA Samaritan Award. Additionally, Terry-Jo has testified before a U.S. Senate subcommittee in an effort to raise funds for research.
