Panelist: Wendy M. Featherstone, PT, DPT

Wendy M. Featherstone PT is a graduate of Russell Sage College and has been practicing physical therapy for over 25 years. During the late 1980’s she developed an interest in treatment of pregnancy-related pain, and became a member of the Women’s Health Section of the American Physical Therapy Association. That interest in women’s health led her to additional training in the evaluation and treatment of incontinence, pelvic pain, fibromyalgia, and osteoporosis. She opened her private practice, Specialty Physical Therapy, in 2004.

Her areas of expertise focus on postural and core muscle function which encompasses osteoporosis and pelvic muscle function, bowel and bladder control, obstetric pain, and the treatment of pelvic pain in men and women. 

Wendy is currently the President of the Section on Women’s Health of the American Physical Therapy Association. She is a member of the National Association for Continence, the International Pelvic Pain Society, the American Urogynecologic Society, and the National Vulvodynia Association.  Wendy is also active in the Rochester Physical Therapy Alliance and the Finger Lakes district of the APTA.
