Amy was born in Columbus, Ohio in 1954. Attended North Central High School, Indianapolis, IN. Attended Indiana University, School of Business, and graduated in 1977, yet enjoyed creative writing classes immensely. She earned her Masters in Business Administration from the University of Evansville in 1980.  She has been sober since August 21, 1989, and has been in Borderline recovery since May 2004.

Amy has been published in Hoosier Sportsman, Hoosier Outdoors, Branches, (in Indianapolis, Indiana) in the early 1990’s, and was published in the national magazine Lotus: Personal Transformation in 1996. She has been writing fiction and poetry since the age of 8, and has been self-publishing since 2003, when she learned how to design websites of her own.  She is currently working on her second book, a fictionalized autobiography of her life, her journey and her recovery.  It is entitled “Destiny of Detours”, hopefully to be published by the end of 2016.

Amy’s meditation book “Prepare for the Harvest” has been her first book published, in both hard-copy AND eBook format. It is a book of daily reflections for those people who wrestle with alcoholism/addictions and Borderline Personality Disorder. There are 366 snippets of suggestions, recovery tools, humor, wisdom, and quotes from many different sources.
