Licensed Land Surveyor in New York and New Hampshire
Survey Manager of Schultz Associates in Spencerport, New York
Type II Diabetic

Robert Hatch was diagnosed with type II diabetes in his late twenties. Strangely enough it was discovered by pure accident, a fellow co-worker brought in a glucose meter and everyone tested their blood and it was discovered that Mr. Hatch had an elevated blood sugar level. In hindsight and after learning more about the disease and its various symptoms, Mr. Hatch was exhibiting a lot of them and it was no surprise to learn that diabetes and heart disease is a Hatch family trait. Mr. Hatch has been managing his diabetes for 20+ years with a combination of diet, exercise, and medications with varying degrees of success. He has recently started taking insulin injections as another tool to control his sugar levels.

Robert Hatch earned his Bachelor of Science degree at Plymouth State College in 1991 and then earned his license to practice Land Surveying in New Hampshire in December of 2002 and his license to practice Land Surveying in New York in January of 2007. He is the current President of the Genesee Valley Land Surveyors Association, a regional affiliate of the New York State Association of Professional Land Surveyors; he is also a member of the National Society of Professional Surveyors. He serves on the Town of Wheatland; New York’s planning and zoning boards; and he’s an avid outdoorsman and is active with his two sons in the local Cub Scout Pack and Boy Scout Troop.
