Non-Profit Community Volunteer

ELCA World Hunger Appeal & Aid Africa

As a native Washingtonian, Wall was born in Seattle and lived there following graduation from the University of Washington in Sociology in 1962. She then married David Schwartz and moved to California where they lived for over 30 years, having two beautiful children, Reid and Jennifer. After a divorce in the 70s, Hall married Bob Wall. From there, she worked with him building his State Farm agency in Lomita CA. Although they both moved to Washington in the early 2000s, they still manage that agency. Both Reid and Jennifer and their families are in Washington. Hall started volunteering in the community when her children were in school, working with the teachers in the classroom on special projects. She has since been active in supporting the Hunger Appeal of the Evangelical Lutheran Church of America in both California and Washington.  When she married Bob Wall, they combined two families and added his two sons, Brian and Aaron to the mix. Today that small tribe has grown to 8 kids (counting the in-laws), 16 Grandkids, and 7 Great Grandkids. “Grand-parenting” is a priority to both of them.
Wall currently lives in Oak Harbor Washington and is active in the community including our church. Oak Harbor Lutheran. She also serves on the board of Aid Africa, a non profit working in Uganda, and travels between Oak Harbor, California, and Indiana to spend time with
family and to tend to insurance and real estate business interests.
Wall describes herself as an individual of faith who attempts to “walk her talk” with justice, forgiveness, and service being priorities wrapped together with family. Organizing and graphic arts are among her gifts and passions. We currently care several days a week for our 18 month old great grandson Daemien.
