In Recovery From
The Disease Of Addiction

Cynthia Scudo is a mother of eight and a grandmother of twenty. In 2002 Cynthia became addicted to prescribed pain medication, and then subsequently to heroin, which she used for a nine year period.  In April of 2011, Cynthia entered treatment at the University of Colorado Hospital’s CeDAR Addiction Rehabilitation Facility where she was introduced to a program of recovery.  Utilizing the resources and tools provided to her; Cynthia began her life in recovery.

In her home state of Colorado, Cynthia is very active in a 12 Step Fellowship of service to others suffering from the disease of addiction and has sponsored dozens of women who have found recovery with the help of her guidance.  She also serves on the Colorado Consortium for Prescription Drug Abuse Prevention as well as being a member of the team involved in opening up the first Recovery High School in the state of Colorado. She is engaged in her childrens' lives and has become successful in her business career.  Cynthia celebrated 5 years of amazing sobriety in April of 2016 and she would like everyone touched by the disease of addiction to know that there is a solution and recovery is possible!
