Professor of Ophthalmology and The Allen, Mosbacher and Law Chair of Ophthalmology, Baylor College of Medicine

Dr. Koch graduated from Harvard Medical School and completed his residency training at Baylor College of Medicine and fellowship training in London, Los Angeles, and Seattle. Dr. Koch has been doing refractive surgery since 1982.  He became a member of the Baylor faculty that same year, and is now a professor of ophthalmology and holds the Allen, Mosbacher, and Law Chair in Ophthalmology. Author of more than 150 research articles and educational chapters, his current international and national positions include Editor of the Journal of Cataract and Refractive Surgery, Past President of the International Intra-Ocular Implant Club, Past President of the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery, and one of six charter members of the Executive Committee of the Refractive Surgery Interest Group of the American Academy of Ophthalmology. Dr. Koch was named one of the "Best Doctors in America" in America's Top Doctors: The Nation's Leading Medical Specialists and, in a survey conducted by Ophthalmology Times, one of the top 10 refractive surgeons in the United States.
