Jessie M. Pavlinac is director of clinical nutrition at Oregon Health & Science University Hospitals and Clinics and senior instructor at OHSU’s School of Medicine, where she directs nutrition and patient services for adult and pediatric patients and serves as instructor and preceptor for the dietetic internship program. Pavlinac also teaches human nutrition as a faculty member of the University of Phoenix in Portland. Past-president of the Oregon and Portland dietetic associations, Pavlinac has served on ADA’s Nutrition Care Process/Standardized Language, Evidence Based Practice, Legislative and Public Policy and Nominating committees. She is active in the Clinical Nutrition Managers and Renal Dietitians dietetic practice groups. Pavlinac has received numerous service awards from the Oregon Dietetic Association, the National Kidney Foundation and ADA, including Outstanding Dietetics Educator. She is a former Speaker of ADA’s House of Delegates. Pavlinac earned a master’s degree from the University of Wisconsin and a bachelor’s degree from Oregon State University.
