Judith Hsia, M.D., Professor of Medicine and Director of the Lipid Research Clinic at George Washington University, is a cardiologist with expertise and experience in the fields of estrogen replacement, lipids, and cardiovascular disease in women.  She is currently a principal investigator for the Women's Health Initiative and was also a principal investigator for the Heart & Estrogen/progestin Replacement Study and chaired the Morbidity & Mortality committee for the Women's Angiographic Vitamin & Estrogen (WAVE) trial.  In her role as director of the Lipid Research Clinic at George Washington, Dr. Hsia runs a clinical lipid service and supervises a variety of industry-supported cardiovascular prevention trials, predominantly of lipid-lowering therapies. She also serves as scientific director of the GW Women's Heart Program, one of "America's Top" cardiac centers for women. Dr. Hsia has published extensively on cardiovascular disease in women.
