Executive Director, National Association For Continence (www.nafc.org)

Ms. Muller is the Executive Director of the National Association For Continence (NAFC), whose headquarters is located in Charleston, South Carolina.  Ms. Muller has served in this capacity since 2000 and has been on the Board of Directors since 1996.  Prior to assuming this responsibility, she served as chief operating officer for the state’s largest group of private medical practices focused on nutritional counseling and intervention.  Prior to that stint, she worked for six years as a private consultant in the health care industry and has undertaken projects for such clients as the Mayo Clinic, Baylor College of Medicine, Oregon Health Sciences University, and Cedars-Sinai Medical Center. 

After graduating salutatorian from Ashley Hall School in Charleston, she graduated magna cum laude from Duke University and afterwards received her MBA from the University of Virginia's Darden School of Graduate Business Administration.  Currently, she is a PhD candidate in health services research and administration at Virginia Commonwealth University. 

She has lived abroad in both The Netherlands and France and traveled extensively.  Ms. Muller is married and has two sons, two golden retrievers, and a black cat named Annie.  She is an avid swimmer and bicyclist.

Raised as a South Carolinian in a family devoted to scouting, she was a senior scout and eventually honored with a Life Membership in Girl Scouts.  She has been active in PTA leadership, including service as Co-President of Buena Vista Elementary School PTA in the Upstate.  She co-founded FitKids For Life, a 501c3 corporation whose mission is to prevent childhood obesity through good nutrition and fitness, developing and providing free educational programs in Charleston City public schools and recreation facilities.  Other community involvement in the not for profit sector includes service as Board President of the Warehouse Theatre in Greenville, SC and active membership in the Junior League since 1978 with a variety of volunteer placements.  Currently, she serves as Chair of the Duke Alumni Admissions Advisory Committee for the Lowcountry.  With her husband, she is an active member of Church of Our Saviour Episcopal Church where she has taught Sunday school and served on the Altar Guild in recent years.
